so about that Target thing...

my second (and as it turns out, final) interview with Target Pharmacies was today-

talked to the regional VP- over 60 Target Pharmacies in Tennessee and Georgia- he lives in ATL-

had a sit-down, one-on-one meeting with him today at the MJ target- he showed me around the pharmacy, explained how they do things, re-emphasized their corporate philosophy (FYI- of all the pharmacies/companies i've talked to, Target really seems to stress their whole corporate ideals/beliefs about 10x more than anybody else- it is fun to have people excited about their jobs- certainly a contrast to other pharmacies)

aaaaanyways- so he likes me- and Target wants me- which is good because Target is the clear front-runner in my mind for places i'd prefer to work at- (friendly, clean, bright, loose dress-code, happy pharmacists)...

he made me an offer which, in relative terms, is exactly the same offer i got from KMART, minus the sign on bonus (dang)- and told me that the Donelson/Hermitage Target has plans for a new pharmacy to be put in the store in 2009 (there's currently no pharmacy in there)- and that he'd like me to be one of the 2 pharmacists that they would hire for that store when it opens... and that i'd "float" until that store opened ("floating" means you get paid the same, but instead of working at 1 store, you move around to different stores to fill in when people need you...) I've actually talked to lots of floaters in my working history- some of them LOVE it and the rest of them generally like it ok- I'll get into that stuff later...

but yeah- he said my letter would come in the mail in the next few days, and that i could sign up and take my drug test sometime before i leave to go back to memphis...

so i've got some thinking to do....
