that's how much out of my last paycheck the gov'ment took... I always thought about how it might feel to have that much taken from my earnings- it's like you do the math and figure up about what you're gonna get- and then POW!
Target: "Hey scott-- you worked really hard, so here's three dollars!"
Me: "oh sweet... thanks, Target I..."
USA: "hey man let me see one of those dollars for a second" ((runs away))
Me: "uhhh... well... I guess 2 dollars is still ok."
and it is! Not complaining about how all the positives and negatives end up working out... just feeling like the "ouch" is a little "ouchy-er" now that I'm pharmasizing.

Hey Dr. Scott! Just wanted to say hello. Jeff directed me to your blog :). You are a good writer, BTW. I may have to get you to come and visit kindergarten sometime. What could you talk about?
Anyway, about the paycheck--welcome to the workforce! Think about me: the government gets some, the school gets some for tuition and daycare for both of my kids, and then the Ford Explorer gets some for gas. I try not to look at what I take home. "Working 9 to 5."
Old people need their Social Security check...could you please put in a little O/T so they get a raise....
There is a canidate that wants to raise the taxes of the "rich" and you be one....
