Dad has had at least 30 rounds of diarrhea and I'm not exaggerting-- has his 4th IV bag hanging- his fever is down- but the diarrhea won't stop- and he can't seem to get ANY fluid down... The government sent about 7 epidemiologists here to check everyone out- they were concerned and say that what has happened does fit the medical definition for an epidemic-- (there remain about 12 people in our group in the not-infected-catergory) they cultured several peoples feces (including dads) and they believe from preliminary data that it may be bacterial in nature so we are giving everyone antibiotics-- my system is starting up too now- 6 or more diarrhea in the last 4 hours for me and my stomach is cramping up-- I grabbed the last gatorade at the hotel and I'm trying to stay hydrated-- the one benefit of my being overweight per the doctor- is that it's harder for me to become dehydrated while skin and bones dad was dizzy and feeling bad after the first couple bouts-still not a good enough reason to carry extra poundage though!-- this whole thing has been crazy and I have a feeling that this trip- this time right now will be talked about for years in the ranks of our church-- please continue to keep us in your prayers- there is a chance the government will make us remain here 36 more hours in quarantine at the hotel and that would cause us to miss our flight so we are tryig to put on our happy/healthy faces when the governmet officials are on the building--
