Dont i write about anything else??

There is a big post up on the Bluecoats Forum right now... its kinda an essay thing where they have asked a question and they want as many people to respond because they are putting together something and they need people to quote. The question was:

Why do we do this? What does your involvement with the Bluecoats give you that nothing else can/does?

Here's what i posted:

"It’s really an interesting question. Why do it? To us, it almost seems silly. When you read the question for the first time at the top of the post, you probably chuckled to yourself… “Why do it? That's dumb… How could I NOT do it?”… but to the rest of the world, its silly for another reason. You all must have known some people who just didn't get it. To them we were insane because we paid money to give up our summers to sleep sitting up in a bus seat or on a floor, wake up with about an hour short of what it would take to be well rested every day, run around in the sun all day carrying heavy objects, eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for just about every meal, and perform for people who most of which would never really understand the amount of sweat and blood you put into giving them something cool to watch for 11 minutes.
What they didn't see was that it wasn’t about what we did with our summers, it was about how doing what we did made us feel. It was about who we went through it all with. It’s not about getting buff or finally getting the perfect tan. If you just looked at the logistics of it, it wouldn't add up, and we are all so lucky that we have been able to see past that. We have all been able to experience things that could only be experienced by going through all the hard work we went through.
It’s about pushing yourself to perfection and still not being satisfied. It’s about tearing down the towers at Ft. Indiantown Gap in the pouring rain in your sandals. It’s about Chris Brown telling everyone he loved them after an emotional run through early in the season. It’s about group sing-alongs in the shower. It’s about waking up every morning thinking that your contra might be lighter and having to pack it up for the winter once it finally is. It’s about the pride you feel surging through every part of you when you hear the “BLUUUUUE”’s from the audience. It’s about adrenaline, sweat, blood, BO, tears, lactic acid (that's for you, Kurt), and scars. It’s about 135 people becoming one mind and one purpose. It’s about the respect that you know you’ve earned. It’s about a color.
All of these intangibles are why we do it. It’s the things that are so hard to see from the outside but seem so concrete to those who have been there. It’s something you’ll never really know till you do it, and once you do it you’ll never really know anything else.
