"I'll give you a tooth for 3 quarters"

Yellow… Scott here… I am actually at my Laundromat right now doing some… laundry. It’s a good time… I was pretty tired today but I took a nap so I’m good right now. I worked yesterday and I will go in tomorrow as well. I think things are going pretty well right now in general. Mandy has fallen on some hard times with her drum corps… first she pulled one of her groin muscles, and that seemed to be pretty painful. She has had to miss a couple of shows and it just so happens that those were two of the shows I went to and that made her feel bad. She wanted to perform for me and I had to try to assure her that I wasn’t coming to see her perform; I had already done that…. I was coming to see HER and there was no reason for her to feel guilty about being hurt. I know she couldn’t help it. She seems to be doing better…. If anything she has just learned to live with the pain. She also got a bad cold. She said it feels like one of the worst colds she has had in years. So she doesn’t feel too great right now and I feel bad for her, but she is still having a halfway good time I think. We still talk at least every day and sometimes twice a day if she has time so I would say our communication is really about as good as it can be for the situation. I am happy with that. I miss her a lot (and yeah I miss you too, Todd).

I have been playing some tennis with Andy and Dobbs- but it’s usually Andy. We are actually planning on a big game tonight. He gets out of class early so we have from 8-10 to play instead of our usual hour (9-10). Hmmm… my laundry is done- let’s see if it’s dry! Ever been to many Laundromats? I just kind of get the feeling that I don’t fit in sometimes… but call me crazy. I guess I shouldn’t type too much about that here. I downloaded the Santa Clara Vanguard’s performance form last weekend in Orlando and I’m listening to that right now… Did I tell you how amazing they were when I saw them last week? If you saw phantom regiment’s show last year then you will really appreciate it when I tell you that this is more epic, emotional, and LOUD than phantom’s show was last year… There was a point when the brass was playing so loud that the metal seats that I had my feat on were shaking. I was 20 rows up, so that was impressive to me. It also was loud to the point that I felt something in my ears that I had never really felt before at an acoustic, outdoor event… pain. It was the same kind of feeling you get when you turn your radio all the way up and it’s too much for you to handle. Really cool stuff.

The bluedevils, cavaliers, and Cadets are also really good this year… it is a great year for drum corps. I think these shows that the top four are putting on this year are to the level that they could have all easily won just 3 or 4 year ago when I started being a fan. Well my laptop only has about 10 minutes of power left on it so maybe I should consider cutting this short.

OK I’m back… I won in tennis… I am very sweaty and in the library so that makes for a good combination. It is actually downright cold in here when the air conditioning hits the wet clothing. I don’t really have too much more to say, overall everything is proceding in a relatively uneventful fashion. I think that’s better than a lot of bad stuff happening, though, so I’ll take it! Later
