2nd day of school

so today has been fun so far... we had our Law class cancelled until next week- so that means i can sleep in on thursday! we've got our first BIG rush day today, we have an information lunch today and then a cookout at 5 and a baseball game downtown at 7! woot... tomorrow we also have a baseball game to go watch with the UT medical school and its being catered by an all you can eat place downtown called the Rendezvous wich is world famous... its the place that preident Bush and the prime minister from japan ate when they visited graceland a month ago-- if that tells you anything... i think i'll probably go... i mean it IS free... what else is new? ummm... i went to a rush event last night at this mexican place... i mean it was ok but it was really loud and really crowded and i didnt really get to talk to the people i wanted to talk to... i dunno... it was ok.
the weather has been really stupid around here as of late- its like every night when i'm about to go out and walk it just starts to rain and thunder... i think its supposed to do that tonight too- i say boo to that...
Scholes came and went this past weeked- i think he got along well with my pharmacy buds- we went out on friday night and got some mexican and then came home and watched movies at the house... and we did about the same thing saturday night... all in all a good time was had- and i think he's making his way back here in 2 weeks or so for another frisbee trip- so that will be fun-

i got poison ivy on my FACE... !!! man this thinks... my nose is red! and right when i have to meet all these new first year people (girls)... i have to assure them that its not usually like that...i dunno.... not the BEST timing for this sort of thing to have happened to me- but i guess thats just life- thats what i get for clipping the brush off the side of the house... hmph...
i'm going to get out of a rotation my 4th year because i worked about 500 hours this summer! that makes me happy- that means i'll only have school 13/16 months once january starts... shouldnt be too bad really... just gotta make it through this semester!...

the house got a major cleaning this past weekend for an alumni reception held there- scrubbed all the stairs, mopped all the floors, pretty much cleaned every surface in the entire house... we'll get to do it all again come Sunday because our first big rush party is saturday night... i'm not really looking forward to the fact that there will probably be around 200 people (increased class size) in my 100 year old house... but i guess thats just how it goes- the other fraternity has their party the night before so maybe some of them will get worn out?
