say anything...
so i just got done watching "Say Anything" with john cusack (yeah i think i've just about covered all his good movies at this point)...it was writer/director Cameron Crowe's first big movie- no wait, he also wrote "fast times at ridgemont high" so i guess maybe this was his second big movie...- he also wrote other such movies as Jerry Maguire and did the screenplay for Vanilla Sky... something about his movies that they always seem to strike a chord with me...this one came out in 1989 (and if you dont think style has changed from then to now just check it out)- i liked it a lot but aryan only gave it 2.5/4.... it hit home with me (guy falls for the high school valedictorian who lives with her single father and they try to figure out what to do before she has to go off to a far away college...??)...and i left with a smile... Its funny because there are no less than 3 main characters from this movie that are also in "high fidelity"... and they have similar dispositions- its interesting how his first big role really seemed to lock him in as the guy standing out in the rain trying to fight the odds... but i liked it... good story, traditional, but yet enough little twists to keep you guessing, sincere moments- good stuff (take that aryan!)
side note- the main love interest of Cusack is Anne's Mom on arrested development "meet the veals"... snap!
ok its bed time- i gotta learn me some cancer drugs tomorrow- woohoo

haha. You're right about blAnd's mom! wow. I thought we all rented that in college...guess not.
If that movie taught me anything, it is that all you have to do to really get a girl to like you is to stand in her yard holding a boombox that plays Peter Gabriel. No lady can resist. Seriously, that is probably one of my favorite all time movies. Here is my John Cusack top 5 -
1. Better Off Dead
2. Say Anything
3. Gross Pointe Blank
4. Runaway Jury
5. High Fidelity
i am so cool....
look in the dictionary under stud....
yep; that's me scott...
ok, 100% serious here... someone else is posting as me (that "stud" comment)... i mean- i'm not really going to disagree- but i didnt really post that-- it just seems kinda odd-- just be on alert in case it gets weird- and know that it isnt the REAL scott
High Fidelity is my fav John Cusack movie... then Say Anything.
