mmmm.... meat...
sooo Lan and I went to Texas de Brazil for lunch today (its like a steak buffet where they just bring random really good meat around to your table... man it was good... its still my favorite restraunt of all time- yeah really)- i talked to the waitor and found that i had some connections in south memphis where i work that he knew- and he ended up giving me a big discout, and a free drink- my 20 dollar lunch and 2 dollar ice-tea (should have been 22 dollars for those of you not mathly-inclinded) added up to 12.50 i was really just blown away- this guy didnt even know me, he just knew some people i knew! it was crazy awesome... i STILL had to do the patented burka Gasp when i saw the bill... lan was ready with the camera... and i actually was able to get a couple picture of the ever-elusive Lan- against her will, but pictures nontheless-- i picked out one for your viewing pleasure- its good to have female friends...
other than that tings have been good- its been a really hectic week- i worked from 10am-10pm tuesday, 11am-midnight wednsday, and then just noon-8pm yesterday, i'm off today and i'll do 4pm-midnight saturday night... that 12 hour day followed by the 13 almost killed me! i actually fell on my stairs going up to my room that night because i wasnt picking my feet up enough going up- i caught myself and everything, it was just funny falling up my own stairs... at least it wasnt going DOWN, right?
brent (not bret my other roommate... breNt) just moved back in tonight... that makes 3 of us. he and Jennifer were haning out and i helped them install a window air conditioner thingie- i'm actually pretty good with a drill and screw-driver i've found! i did a good job and i'm proud of my work. i cannot wait till chun and arien come back in town-- i really think those guys kept me in check this last semester and really picked me up when i felt down... its easy to see that kind of thing in their absence...
my leg still hurts, but its ok... the doctor said it wasnt a tumor and that he thinks it will start to heal on its own now over the next few weeks- now we play the waiting game... i just really hope that when it does get better i can find the time and the DRIVE to get back out there and invest in myself like i had been doing the last 3 years...

Oh, the patented Burka gasp. I knew it without even reading the stuff you wrote about it. How classic.
Hi Lan!
The top picture looks like you're constipated. -Jeff
I love discounts...
