As a native Memphians, I completely disagree.
Exhibit #1 - Music History: Guys like Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lewis got their start in Memphis. Beale Street, Sun Studios, I mean c'mon.
Exhibit #2 - Barbeque
Exhibit #3 - High crime rate gives you a greater appreciation for life.

I meant to say Memphian, not Memphians.
And I can't believe that the mere presence of Scott Burka in Memphis doesn't bump it up at least a few notches in the standings.
