up 20 at the half-

i CAN'T BELIEVE WE LOST THAT GAME!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was so pumped- and we were having such a good game- and they came back and beat us by 1 point!!! we had the ball with 6 seconds to go- WHY DIDNT WE TAKE THE TIMEOUT? i mean- i'm pumped that we are only losing 1 player next year and we should have an amazing team- but i've gotta wait another 8 months! oh well...

rotation stuff is good- i think i'm doing really well in lab, but i've just recently noticed that my preceptor has some pretty lofty expectations- he said that i'm doing fine and i have nothing to worry about, but honestly- i was kinda thinking i was doing better than fine-- he was comparing students and mentioned several people who already had their masters or PhDs before pharmacy and came and helped him out in the lab- or another girl who was a nutritionist before and decided to be a pharmacist- (this rotation has a lot to do with the minute (trust me) details of nutrition- so she was good)- but anyways- it kinda bugs me a little because i mean, i'm doing good and i think i'm helping him out a lot, but my best effort will never be close to those PhDs or nutritionists he has worked with before- they just have several more years of experience with this... i know i've showed him a thing or two about computers, but i didnt come into the rotation with an in depth knowledge of how to work a High Pressure Liquid Chromatography machine (its the size of a family refridgerator) for his amino acid determinations- plus we're working on some equipment that was new when i was like 5 or 6 years old so even if i did there's no guarantee that i could tinker with his specific model.... i know i'm gonna do fine- but i really want an A for this rotation because i think this has played to my strengths (data analysis, presentation skills)- i've just realized he has some pretty high standards that i'm not sure i'll be able to exceed or even fully meet on all levels- but i'm gonna try my best- our 4th and final 30 minute presentation is next wed. and then our test is on friday- all that will be 30% and his opinion of how i did in gerenal throughout the month makes up the other 70%- alittle different than the last 6.5 years of tests making up 100%, huh? ok- lunch over- holla!
