denali....schmenali

Yellow… Scott here…. Not too much is going on right now… just got back from my biochemistry class. I'll try to fill you in on what's been going on since last time. I went to see the matrix and Katie from work came along too… I think that went really well… it’s hard to tell because sometimes I think I understand girls, but most other times I am just clueless… so I would say that I thought there were a few good signals I got when we saw the movie and stuff… but I don't know if she was being nice… I mean it was the kind of stuff that I wouldn't have said to a girl if I was just being friendly, but that doesn't mean she would handle a situation the same way I would… I don't know… I thought it went well… we set something up for Sunday- like running or something like that- but she called me and told me she was going to be really busy and couldn’t make it… but she thought we should go out and eat dinner sometime this week… so on one hand I think its bad she cancelled… because I mean… how can you busy for an entire Sunday? I guess it’s possible… I just feel like I can always make time for something I want to do… you know? On the other hand… I’d say it’s a good thing that she suggested the going out to eat part… but she didn't really have an idea of which day would be good… so I don't know… I just wish the whole process could be more direct… because I feel like I have to pretend like I am only the slightest bit interested… and its not really because its what I want to do… its what other people all agree is the best way to go about things… but this is just slow… nothing is happening… I don't know… oh well.

On eBay I’m working on bidding on a few North Face “Denali” fleeces… I’ve got my eye on a few and I’m winning one auction, but I know I’m going to get outbid… the jackets retail for 165 bucks… so most auctions end around the 100 dollar price range… I mean its still 65 dollars off which is about a 40% reduction… so that's good… its just its hard for me to justify paying that much for a jacket… but I really want it… dang… we’ll see… what else… classes are good. I studied my butt off for the last biochemistry test and I know I must have at least got a B… I knew almost everything he threw at me. I am going to the bluecoats banquet the day after thanksgiving… that should be great… they STILL haven't released the DCI DVD's for this past year… they were supposed to be out by late October and they still aren't… that makes me really mad… dang it…what else? Hmmm… I’ve run 22.8 miles in the last 8 days… so that's good… I’m aiming for 4 times a week… and I did that last week…and I’ve already got one day down for this week. I went with my Bob’s (my boss) son Eric who goes here to UT running last night… he was faster than I was and I tried to keep up with him and I did, I was just really tired by the end… he ran a 17 minute 5k in high school when he was on his cross country team. Not to mention he is 6’4’’ so that gives him a boost on his stride… you know? Not too much else going on… I’m working hard... making money… so that's good. Gotta go to class- later.
