Home for the holidays

Helloooo scott here…. Well I am here in M J… stuff is good. I saw the big movie last night, my only real complaint… there were too many awesome parts and not enough downtime in-between for you to catch your breath! No, that’s really not a bad thing, I was just trying to let you know what to be ready for. What else… Todd is working a lot so I don’t see him too much, but that’s ok we’ve got the cruise… scholes is working, josh is in euorpe, jesse and Samantha are in Knoxville… THERE IS NOTHING TO DO! Its so boring around here. I just do little odd-jobs for my parents all day. I don’t really mind, it gives me something to do.
I work with a pharmacist named Todd (long hair, rides motorcycles) who graduated from UT pharmacy school in Memphis (which if you cant tell is my dream school)… he has decided to get me into pharmacy school… but he didn’t really know how, he is gonna write me an extra letter of recommendation (that makes 2 of my 3 pharmacist letters to UT from pharmacists who GRADUATED from UT) ((that’s really good))… todd said that he would love to pull some strings for me, but he doesn’t really know who to talk to. He had some old friends and drinking buddies, but he has lost touch. He knew this one guy in particular he wished was still involved with the university but he feared he wasn’t. He told me all kinds of stories about this guy… “Professor Eoff”… or “Eoff” as he is called (sounds like “oaf”). Oh well… no big deal, right? It’s the thought that counts…
Well at the Christmas party I come up to Chad- a recent UT graduate- and ask if by any chance there is still a Professor Eoff at the university in any capacity…. His answer- “EOFF? Yeah he is the chairman of the admissions committee!”
Conclusion: I have someone pulling the highest possible string… wow. I think its really funny to see how all the pharmacists I know want to get me in to school… they really seem to get a kick out of it… and believe me, I couldn’t be happier about it… we’ll just see what happens… Chad and Jenny donate a lot of money to the UT pharmacy school and when they make their big donation here in a week or so to the DEAN- they are going to hand deliver my letter of recommendation… that’s awesome. I don’t know what I did to deserve all this great stuff… its just awesome… BUT make no mistake- I still think there is less than a 40% chance that I could get in there… so don’t think that I’m a sure thing… oh well. Gotta go do some errands….
