the only thing that is tougher than standing up for 10 hours (with a 30 minute lunch in the middle)- is doing it for 4 days... i'm on day 3 and my dogs are barkin'! Its a very different feeling from being a student... less psychological and emotional stress, but more physical and concentration stuff... and by physical- i mean my feet are just killing me!... my dad, brother and i have taken a lot of big hiking trips... and there is this feeling you get after a really long day-- its the last 2 miles in a 18-21 mile day... the last 2 miles your feet just feel like someone has beat them with baseball bats... you know, they are just throbbing... its a very distinct feeling- and its not so far from how standing for 10 hours feels... its like hiking all day, but without the calf, knee, or thigh pain-- but its cool... i guess the good thing about 10 hour days is that you only have to work 4 days a week... but i do really enjoy my job enviornment- the people are very fun to get to know becase we are so very different from eachother- its EXACTLY like that Church trip i went on last summer to inner city Chattanooga where it just really felt like a big social kind of communication barrier, but when you opened up and got to know people it was all that more fulfilling... its great to know that even though society paints so many communication barriers, almost all of them are just in your head... its all how you see it- and how you let those barriers prohibit or enable you in your communication--
ok its sleep time- holla

Hey Scott, What shoes are you wearing to work? The thicker the sole the better. Do you have any socks that are "tight"? When I worked at Yellow we had 12 hour shifts on concrete---ouch---Staggs recommended "old men" socks that gave support in the legs.
Are you off Friday?
Dad
i'm "OFF" today, BUT get this:
8:15 am- they take my blood (out of my vein) to get an AM cortisol level
9:00 on the other side of town, they inject me with some radioactive stuff- VEIN again! they take afew pictures and then tell me to come back at 12:30...(what i'm waiting for now)
and then at 3:30 i go back to the other side of town and let them take some more blood from my other arm to do a PM corisol level...
which makes 4 accesses to my veins in a 24 hour period!- ouchy
Hello Mr Scott, How are things over there in Uzbekistan? (hahah) I check your BLOG regularly and enjoy it quite a lot. Always neat to read your updates and see how the "next generation" thinks about things. It helps me keep in touch with kids of your age, especially those in the "stan - republics."/ Say, Scott -- I need to tap into your tech-side here for a minute, this is about posting photos to Blogger -- and I see that you have done that in the past. Well, me too. But for the last week, starting with Monday the 22nd, my HELLO/Picaso photo uploader absolutely will not upload my canary photo. I've tried probably 15 times, doing exactly all I've done before with other photo uploads, and to no avail. So, question: is photo uploading working for YOU? (how about a shot of your 10-hour feet in some "old man" socks?) hahah. PROUD OF YOU, Scott! (even prouder if you can help me solve this.) Thanks, "Aunt Eileen" (you can answer through your Mom, I guess, unless you have my email.)
weeeeeell i dont see an email on your profile there... i'll tell ya- most of the time i put pictures on here up until the past month or two, i just use the basic photo uploading that comes with blogger- which is what i'd reccommend if you cant get the picasa thing to work (there are 2 or 3 things about that program that i either havnt figured out yet, or i just dont care for...)...the way you do that is just
- create a new blog
- then click on that "add image" button over there on the right... its inbetween the ABC and the eraser- that should take you to a menu where you first tell blogger where you want the picture to appear (left, middle, right) and then simply brouse your computer for the picture file and add it on there... once you do that the picture will appear in the text area below and you can write above/below it to your liking---
thanks for reading- and it appears from your blog that you are getting into some exciting stuff over there in russia- hope all goes well for you- God bless- Scott
Yeah.....support socks are the only way to go. Kinda expensive, you feel silly in them, but they're SO WORTH IT.
