Day #69
Just got done with our last laundry day. I think we only have 8 days left…wow. Things are good. My body works really well.
Dang… lights out… wait… I can see.
I miss home a lot… I miss my friends and stuff too. I know when I get back I'll miss the drum corps life. I remember back when I wanted nothing more than to get to go on tour with the Bluecoats. This is my dream. I’m living the dream. Its not so much that I can't wait to get home… its that I can't wait to get home and apply what I’ve learned in corps to my life. That's what I’m looking forward to, and I know I’m going to miss Drum Corps a lot when I get back, but I’m going to focus my thoughts on the good things I learned… I don't want to be one of those “I really miss drum corps” people… I want to be more like Fuller from UT who marched Madison in 96 and he never told me he marched till I asked (well I guess I did see him with his member jacket on once too)… I’m going to make more of my life… I’m going to be more fun to be around… I’m going to be more confident. I’m going to grab life and take control. Nothing can take away my memories or my experiences. This will always be with me… reminding me not to stress over the little things, to smile and enjoy the little pleasures, to work my hardest to accomplish all my goals, and to never give up.
Suddenly life seems like an exciting adventure that I’m really looking forward to. Peace- Scott”
